Week Long ICC Conference Starts On 29 July In Dubai

Dubai: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has decided to hold its annual conference in Dubai from June 29 to July 4. Earlier London was fixed as the venue for the week long conference.

In a statement ICC said "all delegates required to attend would be permitted entry". It is learnt Zimbabwe Cricket chairman Peter Chingoka was refused a UK visa last year.

The conference will see Welshman David Morgan take over as ICC president from Ray Mali. Morgan is a former England and Wales Cricket Board chief.

At the same time Haroon Lorgat of South Africa will take up the post of chief executive officer. Lorgat will succeed Malcolm Speed of Australia. Due to his differences with the Executive Board, ICC has already sent Speed on a paid leave two months before the end of his tenure.
