Another cricket combat is about to start on Saturday at Dambulla with the opening match of the Asia Cup. Pakistani skipper Shahid Afridi has said that his team can do anything to win the title. Last time Pakistan had tours of New Zealand and Australia but they have lost all the matches and endure a series of controversies.

After all these issues, Pakistan cricket board has selected Afridi as the captain of the ODI team.

In an interview, Afridi has said that now all the controversies are matters of past for the team. And past mistakes will not be repeated again and they cannot afford to be a wrangler.

The only way to give their best performance is by staying united. He assured that there won’t be any groupings in the team; they will be united on the field and off the field. Pakistan team is now capable of producing the best results in Asia Cup.

For the moment Pakistan squad is just focusing on the Asia Cup which is an important assignment in this season. Afridi has also said that he is looking forward for a title winning victory in Dambulla and such win will put the team on the right track for the World Cup 2011.
