Sydney, Feb. 11 : New South Wales batting dynamo David Warner may have been dropped from the Australia squad, but the cricket world still holds an abundance of opportunities for him.

On Sunday, Warner is expected to play for his country again in a Twenty20 match against New Zealand, and if not, will make his first-class debut against Victoria.

Even with young sensation Phil Hughes not playing as he prepares to leave with the national squad for South Africa the following day, NSW coach Matthew Mott claims there are an ample number of options to partner Phil Jaques.

"I think if David was to come in it would be in the middle order somewhere," Mott said.

At 22 and with so little grounding in the game at senior level, Warner is just happy to play wherever and whenever.

"If I get a game in the Sheffield Shield I''m obviously going to bat five or six," Warner said.

"You have to adjust to the conditions and circumstances whether you''re 3 or 4-50 or 4-400. I''ll have to try to knuckle down a little bit."

However, Mott believes Warner was such a sensation in his international debut against South Africa that NSW might "lose" him for the shield match even though he is yet to play one.

"I''m sure when the Twenty20 side comes up, he''ll figure prominently in the selection process," Mott said. (ANI)
