Northern Rivers residents may have till now faced numerous problems arising from delays in the emergency facility and the extra time they had to devote waiting long hours before getting the treatment, but for now the problem has seemingly got resolved with NSW Government to have finally announced waiting time of the region’s main local hospitals to come online.

After a week of testing, the NSW Government has finally finished the site, www. emergencywait. com. au and made it functional on last Thursday. It is said that the website is the first of its kind that aims to provide information about
58 emergency departments and the government officials have also said that the website will be updated every 15 minutes.

The only reason why the NSW Government has come up with such a site is that it is committed to provide timely access to the health care services. With this, the site will also help the public with accurate data that will ensure that the patients may now not have to wait for their turn to get the treatment and may arrive right at their turn.

Lismore MP, Thomas George has further said that with the government’s efforts to come up with such a site that aims to inform the waiting time of hospitals online will ensure transparent health system and will also make patients familiar to the several alternatives nearby that may have fewer patients, further leading to save their valuable time waiting for their turn.
