US Congressional Human Rights Caucus hearing on Pakistan situation

Washington, Nov 17: The US Congressional Human Rights Caucus was due to hold a hearing on the situation in Pakistan.

Among those invited to testify is noted lawyer Mohammad Akram Sheikh, who has been here for the last couple of days briefing the media and American colleagues at the bar on what is going on in Pakistan.

The Caucus, led by Congressman Ton Lantos, will also hear from T Kumar, head of the Amnesty International office in Washington, Tom Malinowski of Human Rights Watch and Jennifer Leonard of the International Crisis Group.

Akram Sheikh took part in the march along with several hundred members of the American Bar Association outside the US Supreme Court on Thursday.

Akram Skeikh has also been interviewed on C-Span and by the editorial board of the Washington Times.

He also spoke to the Washington Policy Analysis Group on the Pakistan situation on Thursday evening. (ANI)
