UN secretary general condemns "heinous" attack in Pakistan
New York - UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon on Saturday condemned the "heinous" terrorist attacks on a hotel in Islamabad that left at least 50 people dead and hundreds injured.
He expresses his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims of this appalling attack, as well as to the government and people of Pakistan," a UN statement said.
No cause can justify the indiscriminate targeting of civilians," the statement said. (dpa)
