As per the new plans of the newly formed coalition government Britain's super-fast broadband network is soon to come up in the British market.
The Cultural Secretary, Jeremy Hunt via a recent report termed the previous Labour government's plans of introduction of 2Mbps broadband by 2012 to be a lame measure and termed it as "pitifully unambitious".

In addition to this, Hunt cited his goals which were to create the fastest broadband network in Europe. This as the facts suggest is a lofty ambition which as per the current rankings in Europe needs a lot of effort.
Hunt known of the fact that the country is presently ranked at 33rd position in the world according to facts suggested by Ookla, which pushes it behind Slovakia and Liechtenstein. The top slot has been taken by South Korea with a current offering of 34Mbps, an average connection.
