Two Militants Killed; While Jawan Dies As Army Pushes Back Ultras

In fierce gun battles in Jammu and Kashmir the army pushed back the ultras, Two Militants Killed; While Jawan Dies As Army Pushes Back Ultraswhich had infiltrated under the cover given by the Pakistan along the LoC. In the shoot out two militants and an army jawan were killed.

The defence officials stated, "A group of armed militants entered the Indian Territory from Kabaristan post of Pakistan and were trapped by troops close to Kalash Indian Post between Zero line and border fencing along LoC in Poonch district on Sunday."

They further said, "We have foiled an infiltration bid from Pakistan side."

In the gun battle, which began in the morning and was continuing till the midnight, a jawan Sepoy Chiba of Assam Regiment was killed.  

The official said, "As the area is heavily mined, it has made the operation very difficult."  

The unconfirmed reports mentioned that a militant was also killed and the body was lying in the mined area.

It was also stated, “Another fierce gunbattle broke out between militants and army troops in Gool area of Ramban district this evening when army launched a cordon and search operation in the area.”

So far two militants were killed and one AK rifle and some ammunition and a pistol were recovered.
