TV Shows Do Not Attract Me Anymore, Says Mandira BediMandira Bedi, who shot to fame from her first TV show 'Shanti', is now delighted with her projects of hosting different shows.

The popular actress has no intention to work in doing daily soaps.

The actress said, "Television shows do not attract me anymore. There were many offers coming on my way but somehow it does not excite me now. People often ask me to listen to the scripts at least but now I rather enjoy hosting that acting."

Recently, she was in the national capital with her hubby Raj Kaushal for unveiling the 92.7 FM's new show 'Thoda Personal'.

The actress turned host begun her TV career with 'Shanti' in the year 1994, wherein she donned the lead role. In the year 1995, she entered the Hindi film industry with a supporting role in SRK-Kajol starrer blockbuster movie 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge.'

In her second soap 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi', Mandira depicted her evil side by playing a wicked character.

After this, she hosted Sony TV's reality music show 'Fame Gurukul' and afterward Star Plus's 'Jo Jeeta Wohi Super Star'.

Later, she made entry into the cricket field and was seen in the 'Extraa Innings' in the 2007 Cricket World Cup.

On her lack of interest in daily soaps, Mandira said, "Television should be like a mirror to the society. People should get inspiration from the shows. But several shows in today's television are taking the society backwards. We should move forward and not backwards". (With Inputs from Agencies)
