Tomar collapsed while walking, says eyewitness
An eyewitness has claimed that Delhi Police constable Subhash Chand Tomar, who died amid protests against the rape of a medical student in Delhi, collapsed while walking and was not beaten up by the protestors.
Dr PS Sidhu at Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital also indicated that the constable did not have major internal or external injuries when he was brought to the hospital. He added that the constable had injuries on knee and chest but no fracture and had already suffered a cardiac arrest before he was brought to the hospital.
"No major injury marks found on constable's body. The constable had no pulse when he came to the hospital. Constable's right knee was injured, had bruises," said Dr. Sidhu.
Yogendra, an eyewitness, who was with a female friend had taken the constable to the hospital and had reportedly seen him collapsing amid protests. He maintained that Tomar was trampled by the protestors and not assaulted by them.
He said that he was with a female friend and they helped him to the police van and took him to the hospital. He said he is not aware of the stand of the Delhi Police and affirmed that his description of the incidence is the truth.
