As part of the update, the company has offered improved LTE reception and some "processor enhancements" for the device. The update has also removed the HDR camera option from the device but T-Mobile is offering a solution for the problem.

The new update is being rolled out by the company on its network over the air (OTA) for the smartphone users. The update won't be released for all the users at once as the company is planning to release the update in batches for the HTC One smartphones.

The users can also go to software update section in their settings option to check for updates. Experts have said he users might face an issue when the update will be released in the United States. No major telecom service providers have announced the update yet.

There are indications that national carriers AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint might be planning to offer Android 4.2.2 on the device because Verizon is expected to release its HTC One in August with the new version of the platform.
