Terrorism an issue in Karnataka elections

V NarayanasamyHubli, May 17 : Union Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and Planning V Narayanasamy today suggested that some political parties’ might be involved in the Hubli court bomb blast, which had the objective of getting political mileage during the Karnataka elections.

“We want to know who is behind the blast. As we have no faith in the police, we want an impartial judicial inquiry into the case,” he said while speaking to reporters here.

Narayanasamy further added that the Congress is in full support of the implementation of the Supreme Court order in Afzal Guru’s case, the main convict in the Parliament attack case.

He claimed that the Congress had kept terrorism under control during their rule in the centre, but during the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government the anti-national activities gained momentum.

Narayanasamy said the bomb blasts in Rajasthan would have been prevented had Vasundhara Raje Scindia-led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government taken proper measures. He further added that the law and order is State’s responsibility.

He further alleged that the BJP is using terror issue as an election stunt. (ANI)
