NVIDIA Lodges Countersuit Against IntelFor breach of agreement, NVIDIA Corp. has registered a countersuit against Intel Corporation in the Court of Chancery in the State of Delaware.

The action also seeks to end Intel's license to NVIDIA's graphic processing and 3D computing patents.

NVIDIA's countersuit was made in response to a suit filed by Intel during the last month in the Delaware court, aggressively claiming that the 4-year old chipset license deal does not expand to work on Intel's future generation processors - Nehalem aka Core i7 chips.

Tegra running Android demoed by Nvidia It has come to light that Nvidia is working with Google on Android phones as it turns off its Windows-Mobile-only strategy.

An announcement was made at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona by Nvidia that with the aim to get its Tegra processor into Android phones, it has started working with Google and the Open Handset Alliance. Basically, Tegra is a system-on-a-chip, which integrates an ARM applications processor and Nvidia's GeForce graphics silicon, among other functions. The motive is to bring vigorous PC-like graphics to small devices.

Tesla Personal Supercomputer can be assembled at local level and plugged into the normal power sockets for house hold use. It comes with graphics processing unit (GPU) technology which is also used by computer manufacturers such as Dell, Lenova and HP due to its efficient performance. The company has spent $500 million to develop the processor which would revamp the data processing by computer. '

Alienware Area-51 750i Desktop unveiled A new desktop for hardcore gaming has been launched by Alienware, dubbed as the new Area-51 750i desktop. It is quite noticeable from the name itself that the Area-51 750i desktop is built with Nvidia 750i SLI motherboard chipset, providing support for 45nm process-built quad-core processors.

The price tag which the Area-51 750i desktop would carry is expected to start from $1049 (Rs 52,450 approx.), and as one upgrades the components, the price even higher.

Nvidia Unveils Desktop Version Of MacBook Graphics ChipOn Monday, Nvidia unveiled two motherboard graphics processors that included the desktop version of the integrated GPU in the latest Apple MacBooks.

The processors dubbed as the GeForce 9400 and 9300 are created for the Intel platform.

Nvidia explained, “The 16-core chips enable mainstream PC users to play the latest PC games and play high-definition Blu-ray video.”

It was also learnt that the 9400 is actually the desktop version of the 9400m.
