Microsoft To Rebrand Its Windows Live Search As ‘Kumo’According to web reports, Technology giant Microsoft has decided to rebrand and relaunch its search engine ‘Live Search’.

There are rumors that Microsoft will rebrand the Live Search as ‘Kumo’ by early next year (2009).

The report also said that the new name ‘Kumo’ was already transferred from registrar to Microsoft, and now Kumo.com points to a Microsoft’s internal test site.

New price set by Microsoft for $99 security suite: free

MicrosoftRecently, Microsoft announced that from June 2009, it will stop making its antivirus and security product, OneCare, and instead replace the same with a free download program called "Morro".

The good thing for users is that they will get all the services of Morro, free of cost, while, earlier for OneCare they had to pay $99, plus $US10 a year to subscribe to a virus update service.

"Morro will provide comprehensive protection from malware, including viruses, spyware, rootkits and Trojans," said Microsoft in a statement.

Eric Jackson, an activist Yahoo shareholder who was among the investors angry with Yahoo's management for not accepting Microsoft's previous bid, reported, "I would expect Microsoft to come back within the next three or four months. I think Microsoft will come back because Microsoft needs Yahoo, despite what they've been saying publicly, and I think they know that."
