TCS inks pact with Microsoft India
Tata group-owned Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), the country's no. 1 IT company, has announced a strategic alliance with Microsoft India to launch Microsoft-TCS virtualization Center of Excellence (CoE) in Chennai.
The Microsoft-TCS virtualization CoE is a joint initiative by the companies to accelerate the adoption of virtualization technology in India.
According to an official release, the Microsoft-TCS virtualization CoE will deliver a heightened user experience that will help customers demystify Virtualization: migration from physical to virtual environments, user experience and performance, management of physical and virtual infrastructure from a single console.
It should be noted that Virtualisation is the creation of a virtual (rather than actual) version of something, such as an operating system, a server, a storage device or network resources, which helps companies in cutting costs and optimizing resources.
