In a shocking development, India’s first unmanned lunar craft, Chandrayaan-1 has reportedly encountered an unexplained rise in temperature.

There has been a small rise in the temperature on the atmosphere of Moon. However, scientists at ISRO did not expect it to influence the spacecraft in any way. According to the officials at ISRO, rise in the temperature is a normal phenomenon since it was still a summer time on Moon. They feel that the temperature would back to normal by December.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) confirmed the presence of 'trace amounts' of melamine in a US-manufactured infant formula. The toxic chemical has sickened tens of thousands of infants in China, and killed four - the faked formula having large amounts of melamine added to watered-down milk, to make it appear to have appropriate protein content.

The trace amounts of melamine and its by-product, cyanuric acid, were found in formula from Abbott Laboratories, Nestle and Mead Johnson, which together make more than 90% of all infant formula produced in the United States.

The Karnataka police arrested the wife of notorious forest brigand Veerappan on the Karnataka-Tamil Nadu border in connection with crimes, she committed along with her deceased husband.

Muthulakshmi, wife of Veerappan, the man who haunted the states of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu for several years, was arrested by the Karnataka police near Mettur early Wednesday morning.
