New Delhi, Dec 21 : A thick fog engulfed the national capital today as temperatures fell across northern India.
Weather officials say that the western disturbances over northwest India are responsible for the sudden fall in the temperatures.
The fog wreaked havoc on New Delhi''s transport systems, canceling and delaying nearly ten flights and an equal number of trains.
"Because of this fog, I faced a lot of problems driving on the highway. Now after reaching the airport, I have got to know that the flight has got delayed," said Debarishi Vajpayee, a man waiting outside the airport.
