Musharraf returns to PakistanNew Delhi, Mar 9 : Former Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf, who was in a four-day visit to India, returned to Pakistan on Monday.

Just before his departure he paid a visit to the historic Qutab Minar here.

During his visit, Musharraf Called for enhancing people-to-people contacts between New Delhi and Islamabad to boost bilateral trade and economy. He also said economic integration would play a major role in achieving progress and well-being for both countries and other parts of the world.

While the Congress will contest six seats in the state, JMM will contest five seats and RJD will field its candidates in three seats.

Soz condoles Dogri writer’s demiseNew Delhi, Mar 9 : Union Minister of Water Resources Saifuddin Soz on Monday expressed his condolences over the passing away of veteran Dogri writer and litterateur Prof. Ram Nath Shastri in Jammu on Sunday night.

Soz recalled the services of Professor Shastri for the revival and resurgence of Dogri language, and said that it was late writer's inspiration, which led to the tremendous growth and glory of Dogri language.

"Prof. Shastri was a father figure who has always inspired young writers and journalists", Soz added.
