Blur’s boss once turned down Coldplay for being ‘boring’London, Jan 23 : Music industry is full of ex-bosses who have turned down the biggest of bands during their budding stage, and one such bigwig is Alex James from `Blur', who declined Coldplay thinking it was "ordinary."

James has revealed that he failed to sign Coldplay when he had a record label for a short time in the late Nineties.

"I went to see Coldplay with Damien Hirst and Joe Strummer - my fellow record company executives - and we all thought they were ordinary and passed on them," The Sun quoted him as saying.

Supreme Court to hear Maharashtra Government stay plea on ‘Deshdrohi’ caseNew Delhi, Jan 23 : An appeal filed by the Maharashtara Government on Thursday seeking a stay on the film `Deshdrohi' will be heard by the Supreme Court today.

The appeal was filed in the wake of escalating tensions in Mumbai following the violent anti-north Indian campaign fanned by the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena.

Considering the urgency of the matter, a bench headed by Justice BN Aggarwal will look into the appeal on the ban of the movie scheduled for release on Friday.

U2 accused of stealing artwork for new album’s coverLondon, January 22 : Irish rockers U2 have been accused by a U. S. musician of stealing the artwork from one of his albums for the cover of their forthcoming album `No Line On The Horizon'.

Taylor Deupree, who owns the record label 12k, claims that the artwork on U2's album uses the same image as his 2006 album `Specification. Fifteen', a collaboration with Richard Chartier.
