Porsche 911 GT3 with more powerStuttgart, Germany  - Porsche will show off a more powerful 911 GT3 with the six-cylinder engine boosted by 15 kW/20 horsepower to 320 kW/435 hp and exterior details such as wider fenders and a pronounced rear wing at this year's Geneva Motor Show from March 5- 15.

Acceleration from zero to 100 km/h is listed at 4.1 seconds with a top speed of 313 km/h. Porsche did not reveal any fuel consumption figures.

Bentley unveils the GTC Speed - its most powerful convertible yet Crewe, England  - Prestige car-maker Bentley has introduced what it describes as its most powerful convertible ever - the GTC Speed fitted with a 610 horse power engine, giving it a top speed of 322 kilometres an hour with the roof up.

To emphasize its sporty credentials, the GTC Speed features larger 20-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels. The radiator and lower-air intake grilles feature a standard, dark-tinted matrix.

Wider twin-rifled exhaust tail pipes and a new boot-mounted lip spoiler providing better downforce at high speed.

GM cutting another 10,000 jobs worldwideWashington  - General Motors Corp, the largest US automaker, Tuesday unveiled plans to eliminate 10,000 salaried jobs around the world and cut pay by up to 10 per cent in an effort to prove to Washington it is a viable company.

The company is trying to hang on to 13.4 billion dollars in government loans, which could be withdrawn if GM does not come up with a survival plan.

About 3,400 of 29,500 US salaried workers are to be dismissed by May, the Detroit-based automaker said in a statement, Bloomberg financial news reported.

During a press conference, Rajiv Bajaj, Managing director of Bajaj Auto, disclosed that the company is tightening its grip on KTM Power Sports and the stake hike would be concluded in six to eight weeks.

Fall experienced in the sales of cars in IndiaAs demand fell due to economic uncertainty and tight credit, there was a fall by 3.2 percent in January in the sales of cars in India, which marked the sixth drop in seven months.  

On Monday, data from the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) displayed that 110,212 units in the month were sold by car makers, down from 113,894 sold a year earlier.
