Three-wheeler giant Piaggio Vehicles Private Limited (PVPL), has launched pre-owned Apé vehicles venture under the brand name ‘Apé Life’ where one can buy a new or exchange used Apé vehicles under one roof.

The company claims that this is the first venture of its kind in the sub 1-ton market, which will contribute 10% to company’s sales by 2011.

The Indian subsidiary of Piaggio & C. Spa of Italy, a world major in two, three and four wheeled motorized vehicles, plans to open 20 outlets by this year, in Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, NCR and Karnataka.

The company expects that the number of Ape Life outlets will grow to 50 across India by 2010.

During launching ceremony, a company official stated, “At Apé Life, Piaggio has put in place processes & systems that will ensure a transparent evaluation of the seller’s vehicle price. Besides the right price, a seller also gets prompt & hassle free exchange facility wherein a seller may exchange his old vehicle for an Apé Life vehicle or a brand new Apé vehicle.”

The company quoted that vehicles at Apé Life outlets are refurbished using genuine Apé parts and accessories by skilled technicians.

At presently, Piaggio is offering three free services on vehicles bought from Apé Life. Easy finance & insurance are another highlights of Apé Life.
