‘Feather-head’ Paris Hilton’s weird photoshoot

Washington, Oct 25: Known for her unique fashion sense, Paris Hilton has now appeared in her weirdest photo shoot for US Gossip magazine— wearing a cap of feathers and posing with a stuffed deer.

The 14-page spread appears in the upcoming Holiday 2008 issue of Genlux, reports Contactmusic.

Donning spectacular designs by Les Habitudes and Ella Zahlan, a wild and moody Hilton has been photographed by Photographer Giuliano Bekor.

The photo spread highlighted by a cover shot, in which the socialite appears donning a10,000 dollars Oscar De La Renta gown and a bird''''s nest hat on her head, is apparently doing a spot of painting and decorating.

George Clooney to play the lead in ‘The Birds’ remake

George ClooneyWashington, Oct 25: Hollywood actor George Clooney may play the lead role in the remake of Alfred Hitchcock's ‘The Birds’.

Rod Taylor, who starred in the 1963 movie, said that he was a little sceptical of a remake of the film, but all his fears ended when he came to know that Clooney is the favourite to take the lead role.

He said that the ‘Ocean’s Eleven’ actor might play lawyer Mitch Brenner in the remake of the classic horror film.

He also expressed his belief that Clooney would turn out to be the best man to do the job.

‘Mamma Mia!’ set to become UK box office’s highest grossing film

London, Oct 25 : Abba-themed musical ‘Mamma Mia!’ is all set to become the highest grossing film of all time at the British box office.

The film, set on an idyllic Greek Island, has so far taken 66.2 million pounds in the UK since its release on July 18.

"Mamma Mia! is pure escapism, providing a fun and inexpensive way to forget about the state of the economy for a couple of hours," the Telegraph quoted David Kosse, the president of Universal Pictures International, as saying.

The film, cost 28 million pounds to make, has taken 342 million pounds in box offices around the world.

Cat Stevens says date clash, not security nixed his Israel Peace concert

London, Oct 25 : Popstar Cat Stevens alias Yusuf Islam has rebuffed claims that Israeli security services objected to his entry into the country, claiming that it was he who backed out due to other date conflicts.

The grapevine has it that Stevens, who converted to Islam in 1977, was invited to headline an October 27 peace concert to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the founding of the Peres Centre for Peace, an organisation backed by Israeli President Shimon Peres.

Uri Savir, a former Israeli diplomat and negotiator who heads the Peres Centre, earlier said that when Stevens’ passport details were submitted for a "conventional security check", it sparked a "huge row".

Lindsay Lohan’s career may be ‘over’ following ‘Ugly Betty’ bomb

It is being predicted that after the reduction of Lohan’s role to mere four episodes, following an alleged feud between her and lead actress America Ferrera, her career is almost in the burial.

"It''s over for Lindsay, she''s got no film work, and after this [''Ugly Betty'' news], she''s not going to land TV jobs,” the New York Daily News quoted an insider telling MSNBC

“I hear she''s even tried to get on ‘Dancing With the Stars'' and can''t," the insider added.

US actress Scarlett Johansson to host Nobel Peace concert

Scarlett JohanssonOslo  - US actress Scarlett Johansson was Tuesday named as one of the hosts of the upcoming Nobel Peace Prize Concert, organizers said.

Among acts slated to perform at the December 11 concert were Diana Ross along with Canadian singer-songwriter Leslie Feist, US country musician Dierks Bentley, singer Julieta Venegas, Nigerian musician Seun Kuti and Norwegian singer-songwriter Marit Larsen.

The concert is held the day after the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony where the 2008 winner, former Finnish president Martti Ahtisaari was to be honoured.
