London, Mar. 24: While Smith and Jones remain Britain''s most popular surnames, new research has found that there are 1,48,498 residents in the country who carry the surname Patel or Singh, suggesting that Asian names are rapidly catching up.

The study claims that a century of immigration has seen the nation''s dictionary of names drastically altered.

The Chinese name Zhang was found to be the fastest growing name, having risen by 4,718 per cent in popularity in just 13 years.

People named Singh and Patel were also found to be at a record high, with 95,203 and 53,295 of them respectively currently living in Britain, reports The Telegraph.

London, Mar 24 : Emma Heming, who tied the knot with Hollywood actor Bruce Willis at the weekend, has been a model for sexy lingerie chain Victoria''s Secret for several years.

She currently features in a Top 100 list of the world''s hottest women, reports the Sun.

The `Die Hard' hero met Heming through mutual friends at the start of January 2008 and the pair began dating.

The 21-year-old is due in court Thursday for sentencing after he was found guilty of assaulting a taxi driver last month.

If magistrates decide to jail him he will miss the former Big Brother star's funeral.

London, March 24 : A new study has discovered that some coral colonies can "live" for more than 4000 years, as old as the pyramids, smashing the previous lifespan estimates of 70 years, and showing that the animals grow far more slowly than was thought.

It is this extremely slow growth that is the secret of the corals' long life, Brendan Roark, at Texas A and M University, told New Scientist.

Mayer was so busy updating his Twitter page, that he didn't even have time to return Jennifer's calls, according to a pal.

"Jen was fuming. There he was, telling her he didn't have time for her and yet his page was filled with updates! Every few hours, sometimes minutes, he'd update with some stupid line," The Sun quoted one of Jennifer's pal, as saying.

London, March 24 : A new report has indicated that the greenhouse gas emissions of large cities are far below those of rural areas, which means city dwellers harm climate less.

According to a report in New Scientist, David Dodman at the International Institute for Environment and Development in London, who led the study, said previous claims that cities contribute disproportionately to global climate change are unfounded.
