Emails complaining about the Edinburgh South MP's conduct have been received by Standards Commissioner John Lyon's office, reports The Sun.

Griffiths, 53, who is a pal of Gordon Brown, has admitted his behaviour with a mystery brunette fell "below acceptable standards".

Hindu elder approaches UK High Court over right to open-air cremation

London, Mar. 24 : An elderly Hindu man has said that he will be going to the High Court in a bid to win the right to be cremated on a traditional open-air funeral pyre when he dies.

In a test case on religious burials, Davender Ghai, aged 70, is challenging a refusal by Newcastle City Council to permit him to be cremated according to his Hindu faith, The Telegraph reports.

His human rights application is being supported by a wide range of Hindu organisations.

The local authority contends that the 1902 Cremation Act prohibits a pyre outside a crematorium.

London, Mar 24 : English glamour model Nicola McLean has revealed that wearing an Indian bindi makes her feel complete and extra special.

McLean, 25, who is wearing a bindi, which is an Indian piece of jewellery or cosmetic mark, on her forehead, is from Hamilton, Lanarkshire, and she has been the face of top jewellers Rox, who are designing a diamond bindi in honour of this year’s tenth Miss Scotland contest.

“The Rox bindi will cost 21,000 pounds. My bindi was just costume jewellery in lookalike rubies and diamonds,” the Sun quoted her as saying.

“But whether it’s made of diamonds or glass, wearing a bindi makes a girl feel extra special.

The plans for the funeral had been made by Goody after she came to know that she would not survive the cervical cancer she was suffering from.

As per the plan, a cortege of 21 cars will follow the coffin from her home in Upshire, Essex, to St John the Baptist in Buckhurst Hill on April 4.
