Mumbai terrorists trained in Karachi, says Lashkar Commander

Let Chief Denies any Role in Mumbai AttacksWashington, Dec 31 : The terrorists, who stroke at the heart of Southern Mumbai between November 26 and November 29, were trained at Karachi, according to a top Lashkar-e-Taiba commander.

Admitting to the group's involvement in the terror attacks on Mumbai, Zarar Shah Shah told investigators that he was constantly in touch with the attackers.

Both Shah and Zakiaur Rehman Lakhvi, another mastermind, were arrested this month for their alleged involvement in the Mumbai terror operation.

McCain fears India will attack Pakistan

India, PakistanWashington, Dec 31 : US Senator John McCain has expressed his fears that India might be on the verge of launching an attack on Pakistan in the wake of last month's terror attacks on Mumbai.

"The Indians are on the verge of some kind of attack on Pakistan," the former Republican presidential candidate was quoted by The News, as saying.

McCain's statement comes after his early December visit to India and Pakistan as part of the US efforts to ease tensions between the two nations and avert any standoff.

"Representatives of the sports ministry and Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) will meet with foreign ministry officials in Islamabad on January 2 before a decision is taken over the issue," Sports Minister of Pakistan Pir Aftab Shah Jilani said.
