The Dawn quoted senior PPP leaders, as saying, “The co-chairman had decided about the candidate earlier, but the party was deliberately delaying the announcement for political reasons.

According to sources, speculation is rife that the party’s nominee for prime minister would be from Punjab.

Welcoming the Bhurban Declaration engineered by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), PANA praised the legal approach adopted in the declaration.

They affirmed that a resolution in the Pakistan National Assembly would be “more than sufficient” for the reinstatement of the sacked judges.
