Islamabad, Jan 21: The United States has negotiated new supply lines for allied troops in Afghanistan through Central Asia after the Pakistan Taliban attacked and torched supplies passing through the Khyber Pass.

US CENTCOM chief General David Petraeus said: "Pakistan is the sole route through which NATO and American supplies pass at present. This has caused resentment in sections of Pakistani society and supply trucks passing through the northwest have been attacked and raided on several occasions."

Lahore, Jan 21: The Pakistan Cricket Board will not be seeking any compensation from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for canceling their India's tour of Pakistan in wake of the Mumbai terror strikes.

The Nation quoted a senior PCB official as saying that since the BCCI only followed the policy decision of its government not to tour Pakistan in the wake of Mumbai attacks, there was nothing the PCB could do.

Karachi, Jan 21: The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has said that some of its flights to India have been rescheduled after a drop in the number of passengers.

Without revealing that its flights had been cut, PIA said in a handout issued here that passengers to and from Delhi and Mumbai had substantially decreased. "So some of the PIA flights for these sectors are being rescheduled as per the passenger load factor," it said.

Islamabad, Jan. 20 : Pakistan has once again urged the United States to stop the drone attacks in the tribal areas along the Pakistan -Afghanistan border.

Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari met US CENTCOM Chief General David Petraeus here and said that the US drone attacks on Al Qaeda and Taliban targets in the tribal region of the country is weakening the writ of the government and destabilizing the political process, The News reported.

He said that the US led attacks were proving counter-productive in the `war on terror' in the region.
