India fully aware of Pak reaction on Indian attack, says Pak FM

Pakistan''s Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood QureshiParis, Dec 14 : Pakistan''s Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that India was aware of Islamabad''s response if India attacks Pakistan.

Condemning the Mumbai attacks, Qureshi said that they have extended their sympathy to the Indian Government.

"Both India and Pakistan have equally fallen victim to terrorism however, considering Pakistan responsible for terrorism in the region could not help curb this menace. India knows Pakistan''s sacrifices that it laid down in combating terrorism," The News quoted Qureshi. as saying.

India denies violating Pakistan airspaceIslamabad/New Delhi  - India's Air Force (IAF) Sunday dismissed reports that its fighter jets had violated Pakistan's airspace and said they had received no complaint from Islamabad.

Responding to Pakistan's allegations that Indian military aircraft had entered its airspace late on Saturday night, an IAF spokesman in Delhi said, "There has not been any airspace violation by Indian Air Force as has been alleged".

Citing the Pakistani Air Force, broadcaster GEO TV reported that the Indian fighter jets flew over the Pakistani part of divided Kashmir and near Lahore.

Jamaat-e-Islami moves Pak Senate on Jamaat-ud-Daawa ban

Islamabad, Dec. 14 : Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) senators on Saturday filed an adjournment motion in the Pakistani Senate against the government''s decision to ban the Jamaat-ud-Daawa (JuD).

"After its diplomatic failure at the UN, the government of Pakistan has also opted to ban this one of the most committed and highly-professional charity organisation," The News quoted JI senators as saying in their adjournment motion filed at the Senate Secretariat.

They said that after the ex-parte proceedings against Pakistan, the UN Security Council had banned certain charity organisations of Pakistan, including the Jamaat-ud-Daawa.

Pak Army confirms movement of artillery vehicles to north of PunjabLahore, Dec. 14 : The Pakistan Army moved medium and heavy military artillery vehicles from the Lahore Cantonment area to the north of Punjab on Saturday, causing a scare in the minds of the general public about an eminent offensive with India.

However, the Director-General of the Inter-Services Public Relations, Major-General Athar Abbas, described the military movement as being part of routine winter military exercises.

Jamaat-ud-Dawa leaders'' could be released if there is no evidence, says top Pak cop

Lahore, Dec. 14 : Jihadi leaders, including five belonging to the banned Jamaat-ud-Dawa organization, who were placed under preventive detention, will be let off soon if there is no evidence of their involvement in the Mumbai terrorist attacks, the chief of police in Pakistan''s Punjab Province, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Shaukat Javed has said.

Javed was quoted by The News as saying that "No activist or worker of the Jamaat-ud-Daawa has been detained because it is not required under the UN Security Council resolution."
