Washington - Barack Obama's plan to jump start the US economy probably doesn't involve T-shirts.

But T-shirts and other wares emblazoned with the incoming president's face are in hot demand and might just provide a needed retail boost in the nation's capital.

Street vendors who typically hawk wares with images of landmarks and the words Washington DC have also expanded to include items such as baseball caps proclaiming "Obama is my homeboy."

A list of some of the important words to watch for the year 2009 has been created by world-known dictionary compiler Collins. A number of words included in the list have been reported to be originated from web-based activities.

As our lives highly influenced by the social networking websites; the next revised edition of the dictionary will see the entrance of several associated words along with a number of terms related to our activities over the web.

It has been learnt that an electric version of Daimler's popular Smart car's batteries would be made by Tesla Motors Inc.

The customers would be able to buy the new version of Daimler's two-person Smart by the end of this year. Tesla, based in San Carlos and was initiated by Elon Musk, makes and sells an electric sportscar called the Roadster. At one point of time, Tesla even eyed New Mexico as a site for building its manufacturing plant.

A novel authorized reseller program for Google Apps is being launched on Thursday by Google that will allow partnered businesses enfold Google Apps with their own services in special bundles that can be resold. Things like localized customer service, hardware installation, file migration, and special hosting for things that fall outside of Google's built-in Sites service would be included in it.

In the late afternoon on Tuesday, Carol Bartz, executive chairman of the board of Autodesk Inc. was confirmed as the new CEO of Yahoo! Inc. by the online company itself.

It has been learnt that Bartz will immediately start with the new role as CEO and a member of Yahoo!'s board of directors.

Via a statement, Roy Bostock, Chairman of Yahoo!'s board informed, “We are very excited to have Carol Bartz leading Yahoo! into its next era of growth. She is the exact combination of seasoned technology executive and savvy leader that the board was looking for.”

A perfect prototype of a supercar, which operates on the energy of wind and is capable to reach up to the speed of 155 mph, would be completed by a California-based company.

If adhered to the reports, then the car, which will be two-seater and environment friendly, will be outfitted with paper-thin solar paneling, which would fully charge the battery in just six minutes due to new prototype batteries.The car will run up to 200 miles with fully charged batteries.
