Suzlon Energy's Subsidiary Accepts the Offer of ZFSuzlon Energy's subsidiary has accepted the ZF Friedrichshafen AG offer for its 26.06% equity interest in Hansen Transmissions International NV.

AE-Rotor Holding BV (AERH), a subsidiary of Suzlon, has 174,632,079 depository receipts in Hansen, which signifies 26.06% of the voting capital of Hansen. It has accepted the offer of ZF under the terms and conditions of the irreversible undertaking. If the acquisition completes then the AERH will be of $187 million.

AERH's duty to accept the offer under the irreversible undertaking might fall if a third party intends to pay more than 12.5% than the present offer of Hansen’s shares.

Suzlon Group Founder, Chairman and Managing Director Tulsi Tanti stated that Suzlon and Hansen have strong business terms. As Hansen has been capable in low Cost Country Manufacturing and has potential of providing reliable results, so the partnership with it will fortify in the near future.

Commenting on ZF’s offer, he said, “This is in line with our strategy to optimize and strengthen our balance sheet”.

Suzlon had sold 35.2% of Hansen and rose around USD 361 million in last November. This brought down its shareholding to 26%.

The shares of wind power company were notified at up by 2.46% or Rs 1.30 at Rs 54.20.
