Susan Boyle’s video set to become top YouTube hit of all time
London, April 21 : Singing sensation Susan Boyle's performance on Britain''s Got Talent may soon go on to top the most-viewed YouTube video list.
The 47-year-old had left everyone dazed with her jaw-dropping performance of the Les Misérables song `I Dreamed a Dream' on the ITV talent show.
According to Web stats firm Visible Measures, 200 videos of Boyle's performance had wowed fans all over the world with 100 million YouTube hits.
Boyle's video may challenge the hits achieved by Evolution Of Dance from comedian Judson Laipply which stood at more than 118 million times since 2006.
The church volunteer from Scotland had not only piped viewing figures for Barack Obama''s inauguration speech, 18.5 million, but also surpassed 33.2 million hits gathered by George Bush's video of ducking a shoe in Iraq.
Mashable blogger Adam Ostrow linked Boyle's deserved success with the advantage of social networking sites.
"While Boyle''s performance has a lot of natural appeal, the conditions have never been riper for a video to go so incredibly viral," Sky News quoted him as saying.
"Between Twitter, Facebook, and other social media sites - not to mention mainstream media - the performance has been impossible to miss this week," he added. (ANI)
