SsangYong to relaunch in UK with KorandoKorean car maker SsangYong s getting ready to re-launch it self in the UK market with its Korando crossover, which will go on sale in September.

Korando model, which includes design from Giugiaro, will be available with front-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. It is the final version of the C200 concept that appeared at the 2008 Geneva motor show.

The car was launched in several countries at the end of last year but is yet to be launched in the UK. The users will be able to choose from a manual and automatic gearbox. However, all the variants will come with a 2.0-litre diesel engine in the UK.

The 173bhp engine gets to 62mph in 10.0 seconds when paired with the manual gearbox and in 10.8 second time with automatic transmission. The engine will come with emissions at 157g/km.

The entry level S variant, which comes with cruise control, Hill Start Assist and rear parking sensors, will have a starting price of £16,995. The more expensive ES and EX variants come with sunroof, climate control, leather upholstery and heated front and rear seats. The most variant in the range will be Korando EX 4WD priced at £22,995.
