Reliance Industries has announced that it will go for a joint venture in sports and entertainment with IMG Worldwide. IMG is the leader in sports marketing in global market and has an experience of over five decades in the same industry.

According to the company, the basic objective of the venture will be to set up contemporary infrastructure and coaching facilities for sporting activities in India.

IMG & Reliance jointly are going to create and operate sports and entertainment assets inside the country. Some of the popular celebrities are also expected to take part in such an initiative.

Chairperson and MD of Reliance Industries, Mr. Mukesh Ambani has expressed that the venture will be an exciting offer for both the partners. With IMG'S vast experience, Reliance can make a difference with transformation of Sports in the country.

On the other hand, Ted Forstmann, Chairman & CEO of IMG, revealed that the performance of Indian athletes on the national and international front will undoubtedly improve by proper guidance and strategies. IMG Academies will provide management knowledge and coaching skills which is going to strengthen Reliance Foundation's such SCR initiative.
