Sony adds new Xperia SL to its Xperia series
Electronics giant, Sony has launched new smartphone in its Xperia series called, Xperia SL, which will be powered by Google’s Android platform.
The Xperia SL is a refreshed version of Xperia S and is also based on a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 processor with an improved clock speed of 1.7GHz. Their screen is the same 4.3-inch scratch-resistant TFT touchscreen with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and a 12.1 megapixel camera with auto focus and LED flash like the earlier version.
The phone will run on Google Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich software and will come in four colors including grey, black, white and pink. The smartphone will have an internal memory of 27.8GB and a 1GB RAM. Its powerful battery offers 8 hours and 30 minutes of talk time, 420 hours of standby, 25 hours of music-listening time and 6 hours and 30 minutes of video playback time and it weighs just 144g.
The Sony Xperia SL is likely to compete with the likes of Samsung Galaxy S III, Galaxy Note, HTC One XL, Apple's iPhone 4S, and others in the highly competitive market.
