Sonia Gandhi needs to do her homework before entering Gujarat: Modi

Sonia Gandhi needs to do her homework before entering Gujarat: ModiVapi (Gujarat), Apr. 25: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday attacked Congress party President Sonia on issues of economy and joblessness in the country.

"I asked Sonia to do her homework before she comes to Gujarat". Modi''s reaction comes a day after Sonia Gandhi visited Modi''s strongholds," Modi said.

Modi said that Gujarat is the fortunate state that has the chance to choose the PM because BJP''s Prime Ministerial candidate
(L. K. Advani) is contesting from Gujarat.

Ridiculing the fact that Congress Prime Ministerial candidate Manmohan Singh is not even contesting the polls, Modi said that Manmohan is trying to take the back door.

On Friday, Gandhi slammed the Modi Government for dilly-dallying over advancing low interest loan to farmers.

Gandhi termed the BJP-ruled State Government's attitude as pro-capitalist at the cost of the poor and rural folks.

"I am not surprised that the big industrialists are given thousands of crores loans at normal rates of interest which they pay after 20 years. But I feel sad that when our Central Government had decided to give seven percent interest of loan to farmers, the BJP-ruled State Government did not look upto it for two years and gave excuses," Sonia Gandhi said at an election rally in Rajkot.

She also appealed people to vote for the Congress for a strong and stable government. (ANI)
