Sonia Gandhi Must Break Her Silence on Bhopal Gas Tragedy: BJPImpeaching the Congress of playing politics over the Bhopal gas disaster, Bharatiya Janta Party representative Shahnawaz Hussain stated that Congress president Sonia Gandhi must speak and express regret to the nation.

While talking to newspersons, Mr. Hussain stated that former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Arjun Singh, Former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and then Home Minster P V Narasimha Rao assisted the then Union Carbide Chief Warren Anderson, the prime accused in the case, to flee the country.

He also said that duty must be fixed for the world's worst industrial tragedy that claimed lives of more than 15,000 people, and fresh cases filed against the culprits.

He added that the both BJP and JD(U) will fight the upcoming elections in Bihar together.

He also held the Central administration and the State government accountable for increase in price of essential commodities in the state. (With Inputs from Agencies)
