Smith and Gillan in “Doctor Who Proms”
This summer Tardis will be taken to London for two concerts as part of BBC Proms.
Two new doctors Matt Smith and Karen Gillan, who will play the Time Lord and his assistant Amy Pond respectively, will introduce the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, the World's largest classical music festival at The Royal Albert Hall.
The first prom took place in 2008 and was a huge success. The Orchestra expects a similar success this year too.
The orchestra will perform five proms, including the two "Doctor Who Proms", which will feature the voice of London Philharmonic Choir. BBC Radio 3 will broadcast the first concert live at 7.30 PM.
Director of the orchestra David Murry said that they have strong series of concerts at the BBC Proms and they are delighted to be a part of "Doctor Who Proms".
