Slumdog Stars To Be Honored By UK Parliament Later This Month
It looks that Slumdog Millionaire child actors Rubina Qureshi and Mohammed Azharuddin always find a way of being in the public interest.
The two promising child actors are now all set to head towards England. The reason: British Parliament has decided to honor these actors at the end of this month.
On the other hand, Indian government has already conveyed this message to the families of the two stars. Not only this, the government has also completed all the formalities for their visas.
It can be remembered that the Indian government had offered new homes to the two actors.
Director of multi Oscar winner Slumdog Millionaire Danny Boyle was recently in Mumbai. The British director played a key role in rescuing both these kids, after authorities demolishing their shanties left them homeless.
Moreover, Boyle has also purchased apartments for these child actors.
However, Boyle has also asked the media to leave the child actors alone.
According to a report published in ‘The Daily Telegraph Online’, the Oscar winning director believes that the constant media attention is ruining the young children's lives, and pleaded that Rubina and Azhar be left in peace to lead a normal life.
"The parents are good people who love their children. All the pressure and tension on the family is media-dominated and there has been a lot of miscommunication," Boyle added.
