Six killed in attack on Karzai's brother in Kandahar

Afghan, NATO forces kill at least 35 militants in separate clashes Kabul - Six civilians were killed when a suicide bomber in a car targeted the brother of President Hamid Karzai in the southern province of Kandahar on Wednesday, according to government sources.

The bomb injured 43 people, however, Ahmed Wali Karzai escaped uninjured when the attacker blew up his car near where he was holding a meeting, the BBC reported.

Ahmed Karzai blamed the "cowardly act" on the Taliban. (dpa)
