China's main stock marketBeijing - China's main stock market index leapt by 2.78 per cent Wednesday on a regional recovery after concerns over the impact of swine flu had triggered a two-day slump. The key Shanghai Composite Index, which tracks shares traded in local and foreign currencies, gained 66.75 points to close at 2468.19.

The smaller Shenzhen Composite Index also jumped 2.42 per cent, or 19.28 points, to end the trading day at 817.59.
