Shane Warne rubbishes romance rumours with Jemima Khan

Melbourne, Oct 3: Australian cricket great Shane Warne has refuted speculations of having a romantic link with Jemima Khan, the ex-wife of former Pakistan all-rounder Imran Khan.

Warne’s denial comes a day after Jemima’s mother dismissed reports that the Brit socialite is dating the former spin wizard.

"There's absolutely no truth in that one whatsoever," Warne said on the sidelines of a promotional event at the MCG.

"We're good friends, friends with the family and that's it. Hopefully that all clears it up with you guys," he added.

Warne has been linked with Khan after the bowler last month became embroiled in another text message controversy.

His ex-wife Simone Callahan claimed that her ex-husband was caught cheating when he mistakenly sent her a text message written for a lover, news.com.au reported.

Interestingly, Khan has been named by Woman's Day magazine as the "other woman" in Warne's life.

Meanwhile, Warne also said that he did not want to engage in a public feud with Callahan.

Warne denied her account, and said in a statement he and his ex-wife had already parted again because their relationship was not working.

"I'm not going to start a tennis match with Simone, backwards and forwards," he said.

"My statement that I released is 100 per cent truthful and accurate and I stand by that… Simone knows the truth, that's the end of that one," he added.

The couple divorced in 2005, but attempted reconciliation early this year. (ANI)
