Sensex rises in early trade
Mumbai, June 21: A benchmark index for Indian equities markets Tuesday rose in early trade after being battered at the start of the week.
The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) which opened at 17,574.37 points, was ruling at 17,576.71 points, up 70.08 points or 0.4 percent from its previous close at 17,506.63 points.
The 50-scrip S&P CNX Nifty of the National Stock Exchange was also trading in the green at 5,276.15 points, up 0.35 percent. (IANS)
