Indian stock markets continued their winning streak for the fifth successive session Wednesday, with a key index gaining 98.84 points during the afternoon.

Moreover, the broader markets also backed the upmove. IT, Tech and real estate stocks were the major movers.
 
BSE Midcap and Smallcap index gained 1.32% and 2.16% respectively.

At 12:55 p.m., the 30-share index Sensex stood at 15,787.31. It hit an intraday high of 15,817.84 and an intrday low of 15,695.94. In the meantime, the broad based Nifty gained 26.90 points at 4,686.25 after touching an intraday high of 4,694.40 and an intrday low of 4,659.10.

On sectoral front, BSE IT remained the top gainer after surging 3.65% followed by TECk zoomed 2.96%, Realty increased 1.69% and Metal climbed 0.95%, while BSE FMCG was down by 0.64%.

The top gainers in the 30-share index included Infosys Tech, which gained 4%, TCS climbed 3.78%, Wipro surged 2.85%, DLF benefited 2.63%, Tata Motors zoomed 2.41% and Tata Power rose 2.30%.

On the other hand, the major losers in the Sensex were HUL down 1.82%, ONGC fell 0.98%, ITC dropped 0.96%, HDFC Bank declined 0.83%, Maruti Suzuki lost 0.79% and BHEL dropped 0.44%.
