Frankfurt - Schalke striker Gerald Asamoah will miss the Bundesliga club's quarter-final match in the German Cup after being slapped with a one-game suspension by the disciplinary court of the German football association (DFB).

The Germany international was red-carded during Tuesday's 3-1 victory at third division club Carl Zeiss Jena after fouling an opponent.

The DFB said on Wednesday that Asamoah had already accepted the decision. (dpa)
