According to reports, the negotiations between Sony Entertainment with Salman Khan to anchor the reality show 'Dus ka Dum' have failed.

The sources revealed that Sanjay Dutt will anchor the show in place of Salman Khan.

This will be Dutt's maiden entery into the arena of television.

Amitabh Bachchan, whom Sanjay Dutt acknowledged as his mentor, had encouraged him to host the reality show.

The channel members had quietly decided to replace the anchor due to financial incompatibility with Salman Khan.

A source said that agreement between the two over hosting the show has reached to a final stage.

The channel was also having negotiations with Anil Kapoor who had played the character of a game anchor in the film 'Slumdog Millionaire'.

But, Anil would not be able to host the show due to his busy schedule.

The amount of money offered to Dutt has not been revealed yet.

The members of Sony channel believe that Sanju Baba will make the show more fascinating.
