Samsung India To Import High-End Phones

A leading electronic equipment and mobile phone manufacture, Samsung Samsung India To Import High-End PhonesTelecommunications would import high end phones from abroad to satisfy its requirements in India. 

The company currently imports about 25 percent mobile phones from its various facilities in different countries. The company has also doubled the capacity of its manufacturing facility at Noida with $24 million investment. 

The company would export mobile phones to various countries of South East Asia and West Asia from its Noida facility.

The mobile business head of company, Sunil Dutt said that the company would import the feature-rich multi-media phones for Indian market. It would launch nine models of mobile phones in the next three months. 

It has already launched 40 models in India. Samsung launched new model, Innov8, in the Indian market on Wednesday. It is a multimedia phone with eight mega pixel camera, cinematic video and 32 GB memory. The phone is available for Rs 45,999 form today onward.

The company intends to increase 15 percent market share in India in the next 8-10 months from the present 8.8 percent. It would also launch CDMA phones in the market and is planning to tie with some leading CDMA service providers such as Reliance communication.
