Sahara Group to spend Rs 4000 crore on setup of 217 HospitalsDiversified business conglomerate Sahara, in a bid to become a national player in the domestic healthcare sector, has revealed its investment plan worth Rs 4,000 crore over the next 10 years for setting up a chain of 217 secondary hospitals across the country.

Through Sahara Hospital Chain, the company intends to set up a benchmark of excellence in advanced, hi-tech and multi-disciplinary medical services in Asia.

The company is planning to set up a chain of 217 secondary care hospitals in each of its 217 upcoming townships (Sahara City Homes), which would come up with an estimated investment of Rs 15-20 crore each.

Sahara Hospital is a project of Sahara Indian Medical Institute Limited (SIMIL) a subsidiary of Sahara Prime City Limited.

Last month, Sahara Prime City Limited, the real estate company of Sahara India Pariwar inaugurated ‘Sahara Hospital’, a Super Specialty, Multi-Disciplinary, Tertiary Care hospital in Lucknow.

The 554-bed hospital, spread on an area of 27 acres is planned to offer services in more than 52 specialties, super specialties and diagnostic modalities under one roof for complete diagnostic solutions.

Sahara Prime City Limited is the real estate company of Sahara India Pariwar. The company is into developing commercial and residential properties.
