RWA Stands amid Power Tariff Hike
Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC) should take measures by which it is able to control the incidents of power thefts rather than increasing the power tariff.
The hike in power tariffs has made the members of Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs) angry and they are getting support of all big organizations which could affect the DERC decision. Delhi Medical Association is also supporting RWA and its president Dr. Vinod Khetrapal revealed that more than 15,000 doctors of DMA are against this power hike as it would affect everyone and there is no doubt in the fact that if power rate would rise then cost of medical treatment would also rise which would be quite taxing for patients and their families as already inflation is touching sky.
One of RWA member, Mr. Rajeev Kakaria said they are would go to every political person who had not won whether he stood for MLA or MLC and would ask them to support them. Then, they would go to Delhi’s CM and would discuss the matter.
RWA demand list does not end here as one more thing which is also present in their list is reduction in the current cost and that too by 30%.
