Royal Orchid Hotels Limited has informed that the company has acquired 50% stake in Cosmos Premises Pvt. Ltd having its office at B 124, Vardhaman Complex, Fitwel Compound Vikhroli West Mumbai-83.

Cosmos Premises Pvt. Ltd is owner of the property i.e. the Galaxy Resorts having 65 No. of Rooms-Beach Resorts, situated in village Utorda in the State of Goa.

Bangalore-based, Royal Orchid Hotels Limited, through its subsidiaries, operates hotels/holiday resorts as well as provides related services in India. It was formerly known as Universal Resorts Limited and changed its name to Royal Orchid Hotels Limited in 1997.

The company has posted a 7% decrease in net profit at Rs 7.89 crore for the quarter to December 2007. Its sales increased by 7% to Rs 21.61 crore.
