Rourke mourns beloved pet pooch’s death

Mickey RourkeLondon, Feb 19 : Actor Mickey Rourke is mourning the death of his beloved pet, 18-year-old Chihauhau, Loki, who died this week.

The `Wrestler' star, who credited his precious pooches with saving his life during his years in the Hollywood wilderness, lost his 18-year-old Loki in the early hours of February 17.

The Oscar nominee confirmed the news in an interview to TMZ. com.

"(She died at) 5am this morning. I don''t have any (words). Thank you for being sorry, thank you very much," the Daily Express quoted him as saying.

In his acceptance speech at the Golden Globes, when he took home the Best Actor award for The Wrestler, Rourke dedicated the award to his prized pets.

"I''d like to thank all my dogs; the ones who are here and the ones who aren''t here anymore," he said.

"Sometimes when a man''s alone, that''s all you got is your dog. And they''ve meant the world to me," he added. (ANI)
